Bio Sunkeen popularizes clean recycling production based on comprehensive utilization of sweet potato resources to form an industry cycle of sweet potato plantation – sweet potato starch processing – starch sugar making and cane molasses – yeast – yeast extract – biological organic fertilizer (feed). Various crane processing links from field to factory and then back to field help increase corporate value. It is a sustainable development project vigorously supported by national industrial policies.

(1) Meeting national energy conservation and emission reduction policies

Bio Sunkeen adopts many advanced technologies including membrane filtration, MVR, magnetic suspension, heat recovery, low-temperature continuous vacuum drying and other new technologies and imports many key state-of-the-art equipments from Europe and America to achieve stable product quality, realize energy conservation and emission reduction purposes, have comprehensive cost advantages in yeast production and improve market competitiveness.

(2) Meeting national green, biological and environmental protection policies

Bio Sunkeen is engaged in deep processing by leveraging sweet potato resources in the mountain areas in Southwest Shandongand adopts fully-enclosed, whole-pipeline and full-automatic production. It only takes 15 minutes to produce sweet potato starch after sweet potato enters into the production line (sweet potato starch is a by-product of the project). By-products of starch production (waste residue, waste water) are transported via fully-enclosed pipelines to next section to be comprehensively utilized to produce fermentation sugar. The comprehensive utilization rate of sweet potato resources is90%, which completely rehashes the traditional concept of high-pollution starch production. The company employs clean production to produce organic fertilizer or feed by leveraging final waste residue, discharge up-to-standard waste water and odorless waste gas.

(3) Establishment of the Environmental Protection Business Department

Bio Sunkeen established the Environmental Protection Business Department to biochemically treat waste water in course of production by anaerobic and aerobiotic fermentation to generate marsh gas for comprehensive utilization and discharge up-to-standard waste water, turn waste residue into organic fertilizer by solid state fermentation for plantation of green and ecological fruits and vegetables, and intensively collect and purify waste gas to exhaust odorless gas. The department aims to realize comprehensive utilization of waste residue, waste water and waste gas by advanced biological integration technology and gives play to positive benefits of environmental protection.
